Google Announces Three More Cities to Get Google Fiber:
Lucky Folks in Irvine, CA; Louisville, KY; and San Diego, CA will be getting Google's Gigabit Fiber Connections to their homes and businesses.
New Wifi Standards to move around up to 20Gb\s:
This update has a wider appeal than localized Gigabit service. The next wifi standards (802.11ad, 802.11ay, 802.11ax) will operate in a 60Ghz (GIGA Hertz!) range and have a throughput of up to 20Gb\s (2.5GB\s), over and admittedly short range. Should be good for those 4k family videos!
